One of our customers favorite helmets is sure to be your new favorite too! The Danmar Hard Shell Helmet is durable and extremely lightweight - weighs only 17 ounces. The shock absorbent liner is coated in vinyl and is easy to clean with soap and water. There are so many custom options, you can create a helmet for your unique needs!

Suggestions to help you determine what type of helmet would be suitable for your client.

- Potential striking surfaces (floor, walls, furniture, etc.)

- Severity & frequency of seizures or spasticity

Note: While we believe that headgear can substantially reduce the risk of head injury we emphasize that there is no known device for preventing all injuries. Only you the customer are in a position to evaluate the particularized needs of the individual client in each environment. It is essential that professional and medical expertise be utilized in rendering decisions regarding headgear use.
Customizations & Modifications - must be added when helmet is purchased.
- Soft Foam Ear Coverings - Soft ventilated foam extends down over ear area (pair)
- Reinforced Liner - reinforced vinyl material is bonded to the full helmet liner for extra durability
- Reinforced Seams - reinforced vinyl is bonded into the foam liner for extra strength
- Eye Glass Relief Area - Most eyeglass wears are comfortable without modifying the helmet however if frames are an issue, padded polypropylene slings are created to provide extra room for the glasses.
- Quick Release Buckle Chinstrap, Under Chin - use in place of the standard snap chin strap.
- Quick Release Buckle Chinstrap, Top of Helmet -use when there are efforts to remove the helmet. The quick release buckle will be on the top of the helmet
- Custom Strapping - in situations where the helmet is being removed, straps are attached to each side of the helmet and cross under the chin and attachat the back of the helmet.
- Foam Visor - 2 inch thick visor extends from the helmet approximately 3 inches to absorb impact from bumps to the front of the head.
- Rear Foam Extension helps protect the nap of the neck from impact. You can also opt to change the Rear Foam Extension for a Cheek (temple) protection. Please indication the extension size in inches at the time of order.
- Optional Cush-in Pads are medical-grade, sweat-absorbing foam pads that provide a cooler, more comfortable helmet fit, are washable, quick-drying, and come in a set of 4 small and 4 large.
- Optional Mohawk Helmet Customization is a soft, playful Velcro accessory in vibrant colors that lets you easily add fun, flair, and personalized style to any helmet.

Custom-made or special-order products require additional fabrication time. Once your order is placed, we will contact you by phone and email with an estimated shipping date.

Return Eligibility
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or refund.
To qualify for a refund, the product must:
- Be in new and unused condition
- Be returned in its original packaging
- Include all documentation, parts, and accessories
Non-Returnable Items

- Special-order products
- Hygienic products
For health and safety reasons and in compliance with federal health regulations, used or hygienic products cannot be returned.
Examples of hygienic products include, but are not limited to:
- Toileting products

- Mattresses and overlays
- Slings
- Bathroom aids
- Body braces
- Seat cushions
- Wheelchair cushions
- Stockings
- Splints
- Any product that comes into direct contact with the body
How to Return an Item
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number.
Please contact us within 30 days of delivery to obtain an RMA number and return instructions.
Return Service Fee
To help keep our prices as competitive as possible, a 15% return service fee will apply to all approved returns.
Refunds are calculated based on the purchase price of the item. Any discounts, promotions, or special offers applied to the original order will be deducted from the refund amount.
Non-Refundable Charges
The following charges are non-refundable unless the item is damaged or defective:
- Shipping charges
- Expedited shipping fees
- Freight charges
- Delivery service fees
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser unless the return is due to shipping damage or a product defect.
Products returned:

- In used condition
- Without an RMA number
are not eligible for a refund and may be returned to the sender at the purchaser's expense.
