The Joerns Dolphin Fluid Immersion Simulation (FIS) Mattress System allows normal blood flow and promotes healing with the use of Laser Doppler Flowmetry that redistributes pressure. The mattress comes with a 12 hour battery backup and and uses your weight and body contour to relieve pressure and help heal skin breakdowns. The dolphin mattress fits several 36, 42 or 48 inch width beds. (bed not included)

The dolphin uses a microprocessor to continuously adjust to the patient’s position and immersion into the surface, the system creates a fluttering sound as it adjusts to the user's movements. The Dolphin adjusts as needed while the standard low air loss and/or alternating pressure surfaces are static processes, meaning they do the exact same thing every time.

HOW DOES THE DOLPHIN FLUID IMMERSION SIMULATION WORK? It is easy!

STEP 1
Patient lays down and the Dolphin FIS calculates the patient's weight
STEP 2
As patient sinks into the surface, the Dolphin FIS calculates the surface area and provides the correct amount of air density to mimic fluid immersion.
STEP 3
Vascular Occlusion (measurement of blood blocked) is minimized as the Dolphin FIS dynamically reacts to patient's movement allowing for maintained near normal blood flow.

The Dolphin is a specialized mattress which utilizes the unique Archimedes linker™ algorithm to measure a patient's weight and body contour and automatically imprints the data into a computerized control unit, which examines the data and automatically adjusts the mattress to create a neutrally buoyant, three dimensional support surface environment. The system continues to monitor the surface every 11 seconds or 300 times per hour for any patient movement. Absolutely no guesswork!

Return Eligibility:

If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days for an exchange or refund.

To qualify for a refund, the product must be in new, unused condition and returned in its original packaging with all documentation, parts, and accessories.

Non-Returnable Items: Custom-made, special order, and hygienic products are not eligible for return.For health and safety reasons, and in compliance with federal health codes, used or hygienic products cannot be returned. Hygienic items include but are not limited to toileting products, shower chairs, mattresses and overlays, slings, bathroom aids, body braces, seat cushions, wheelchair cushions, stockings, splints, or any products that come into direct contact with the body.

How to Return:

All returns require a Return Authorization Number (RMA). Please contact us within 30 days of delivery to obtain your RMA and return instructions.

Note: To keep our prices as low as possible, a 15% return service fee will apply to all returned items. Refunds are calculated by the purchase price of an item; any applied discounts or promotional offers will be deducted from the refund.

Shipping fees, including expedited shipping, freight, or delivery services, are non-refundable unless the product is damaged or defective. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser unless the return is due to damage. Products returned after 30 days, in used condition, or without an RMA cannot be refunded and may be returned to the sender at the purchaser’s expense.

Damaged or Defective Items: Please inspect your order promptly upon delivery. If possible, do not accept delivery of visually damaged products.
