Accessories for a Danmar Helmet

and security of the helmet even further. Danmar offers a thoughtful range of add-ons designed to address specific needs, from preventing
helmet removal to improving comfort and durability. Here is a guide to what is available and what each accessory does. Please click here to

Custom Strapping System
Danmar’s custom strapping system is designed for individuals who attempt to remove their helmet. Straps attach to each side of the
helmet, cross under the chin, and fasten at the back. This system is compatible with both soft shell and hard shell helmets and is available
with multiple chin strap configurations to find the right fit.
Foam Visor
The Foam Visor extends approximately 3 inches from the front of the helmet and is 2 inches thick. It is designed to absorb impact
to the front of the head and face — providing an additional layer of protection for individuals at risk of forward falls or head-first impacts.
Reinforced Liner
The Reinforced liner adds a layer of reinforcing material bonded to the full helmet liner. This option increases the durability of the helmet overall, making it a good choice for more active users or those in high-impact environments.
Reinforced Seams
Reinforced seams are bonded directly into the foam liner for added structural strength. This is particularly useful for helmets
that see heavy daily use.
Quick Release Buckle — Top of Helmet
The Top of Helmet Buckle is used when there are consistent attempts to remove the helmet. The quick-release button is positioned
on top of the helmet, making it easy for a caregiver to remove while remaining out of easy reach for the wearer.
Quick Release Buckle — Under Chin
The chin buckle replaces the standard snap chin strap with a quick-release design. The release button is located under the chin, making caregiver removal fast and easy while providing a more secure fit during wear.
Foam Liner Pads
Vinyl coated foam liner pads are ¼ inch thick and made from closed-cell foam with a self-adhesive backing that bonds to the inside foam liner. They are used to fine-tune fit when a helmet is slightly too large or to add extra comfort for the wearer. Sold in sets of four.
Pro Tip: Liner pads are a surprisingly effective way to improve the fit of a helmet that is in between sizes. If the circumference measurement falls between two standard sizes and you are leaning toward the larger, a set of liner pads can help take up the extra space and keep the helmet secure without ordering custom. |
